Programs
Our goal is to support young people living with and affected by HIV/AIDs in Kenya to enjoy healthy lives holistically. We are all about fostering a community and helping you in your life journey.
impacting the youth
GC7
Policy, AYP, Adolescents
We utilise the Global Fund's GC7 as a pivotal chance to involve young people in health program and policy design. Committed to meaningful participation, the goal is to integrate the views and leadership of Adolescents and Young People (AYP) to ensure responsive and effective health solutions, reflecting their unique needs and enabling them to drive sustainable change.
Her Voice Fund
HIV, AGYW
The HER Voice Fund is committed to empowering adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) in decision-making to reduce HIV rates and enhance overall health, wellbeing, and rights. AGYW in Eastern and Southern Africa are notably affected by HIV, with those aged 15-24 constituting 68 percent of young people living with HIV and being more susceptible to infection than their male counterparts. The Fund acknowledges the critical need to address the disparities hindering AGYW's meaningful participation in decision-making that influences their health programming, advocating for inclusive laws and policies.
Sister2Sister
HIV, Young Women, AGYW, SRH
Despite advancements in the HIV response, adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) in Eastern and Southern Africa remain highly affected. The Kenya Adolescent SRH policy and guidelines aim to improve Reproductive Health access for youth, but demand and supply gaps persist. These particularly affect marginalized AGYW, including those with disabilities, young mothers, and HIV-positive young women
Youth Wise
HIV, AIDS, AYPLHIV
This project aims to continue supporting adolescents and young people living with HIV (AYPLHIV) through initiatives focusing on treatment and mental health, contributing to Aidsfonds' strategic goals and UNAIDS' Global AIDS Strategy.
Global Fund COVID -19 Kenya Red Cross
Adolescents, COVID
In Kenya, youth-led organizations often lack the necessary policies and guidelines for effective operation due to capacity constraints. This absence hampers their planning, development, management, and resource mobilization efforts, leaving them at a disadvantage against more established entities. Despite their potential for peer outreach, they are frequently viewed as target populations rather than as implementers and solution providers, impeding progress towards improved health outcomes and community change. The development of these organizations is crucial for fostering community engagement and capacity building, which are essential for addressing complex social and environmental challenges through collaboration and networking.
Deep Dive Initiative
AYP, Adolescents, Young Women, AGYW
Launched with the support of the Her Voice Fund, this project focused on creating meaningful opportunities for AGYW to lead and shape their own sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) agenda while ensuring accountability and advocacy at national and community levels.
